Turkish Street Cats

The is Part Three of my trip to Turkey and probably the most unexpected documentation because I wasn’t really expecting to come across this many street cats and dogs. From my first visit to Turkey in 2008, it seems like the population of these street animals have grown exponentially. I see them literally everywhere - sleeping at petrol stations, begging for scraps at the restaurants, to making national monuments their playground. One kitten even found his way to the front door of my hotel room! Regardless, animals have always been my passion and this post is dedicated to these beautiful cats and dogs I took the pleasure to photograph during my trip to Turkey.

Photographed with the Leica SL2
